    Morning Session

    The session will open with Rossella Abbondanza, National President of IDEA, setting the stage for a day of learning and growth.

    Following her introduction, Toshiro Savoia, an expert in personal growth and coaching, will present “Strategic Management of the Agenda – From Organization to Production.” This insightful discussion will explore five key areas essential for optimizing dental office operations:

    • Patient Data Management – Ensuring accuracy and organization in patient records
    • Appointment Scheduling – Reducing wait times and streamlining workflows
    • Financial Strategies – Implementing sustainable economic management practices
    • Patient Communication – Enhancing interactions for better patient relationships
    • Management Control – Utilizing tools to maximize efficiency and productivity

    This sessions goal will be to provide practical strategies to enhance organization, productivity, and overall patient care in dental practices.

    Next, Francesco Grande, Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences from the Polytechnical School of Turin and an honorary member of IDEA, will lead a session on the proper management of implant components. Through a practical and detailed overview, he will break down the key categories of components, their functions, and best practices for organizing materials and instruments. By mastering these essential skills, dental assistants can provide a crucial support to dentists, ultimately enhancing patient care and improving overall treatment outcomes.

    Rossella Abbondanza, National President of IDEA, and Maria Elena Tonini, Product Manager at Sirona, will then lead an important discussion on risk management in the dental practice, with a focus on biological and chemical exposure risks for personnel. They will highlight the most common hazards in dental settings and share effective strategies to safeguard both staff and patients, ensuring a safer and healthier work environment for all.

    Afternoon Session

    After lunch, all attendees are invited to the AIO Academy Session and the official congress closing, featuring distinguished speakers Carlo Guastamacchia and Antonio Pelliccia.

  • Digital Dentistry Society to Host Groundbreaking Session on Digital in Dentistry

    Initiating the session Dr. Francesco Grande, PhD Candidate in Digital Dentistry, will explore the quest for accuracy in intraoral scanning. Dr. Fabrizia Luongo, an expert in implantology, will delve into static guided surgery and dynamic navigation. Following her, Prof. Carlo Mangano, Founder and Past President of the Digital Dentistry Society, will illustrate the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality in Dentistry.

    After the coffee break, Dr. Filippo Rustichini, with a Masters in Forensic Dentistry, will present full-arch rehabilitations with a complete digital workflow. Dr. Gennaro Ruggiero, M.Sc. in Prosthodontics and Digital Dentistry, PhD, and Ambassador for the Digital Dentistry Society Italy, will explain digital workflows in fixed prosthodontics. Closing the session, Dr. FabrizioMolinelli, trainer and consultant for new prosthetic technologies in digital dentistry, will discuss digital complete dentures.

  • All About Surgery in Sardegna with AOS ( Academy of Oral Surgery)

    The Congress will kick off on Thursday, June 12th, with an engaging program as we delve into the fascinating world of oral surgery, brought to you by the esteemed Academy of Oral Surgery. This full day of learning will feature distinguished international experts who will share their insights through vibrant lectures.

    Starting with Dr. Angelo Cardelli with his lecture “Customized Implants in Atrophic Jaw Rehabilitation”
    Dr. Cardarelli, author of many publications, speaker in International Congresses. Member of International Extraction Academy of California. Member of Global Scientific Dental Alliance in Dubai. Author of Book “Piezoelectric Surgery of Impacted Teeth” . He will discuss the latest advancements in the development and application of customized implants. His presentation aims to illuminate how these tailored solutions can significantly enhance functional and esthetic outcomes for patients with atrophic jaws.

    Dr. Henry Diederich will follow speaking of “Minimally InvasiveTreatment Options in Atrophied Bone: The BTB Approach”
    Dr. Diederich, doctor in dental medicine and lecturer, with a broad range of expertise in dentistry and related fields. He is also  active member of several professional organizations. He will share insights on the BTB approach, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques that optimize treatment for patients with reduced bone structure. His focus will be on maintaining patient comfort while ensuring successful rehabilitation.

    Dr. Emad Salloum instead will lecture about  “Complications Versus Errors in Immediate Implant Placement”
    Dr. Salloum,  international Ambassador for International Congress of Oral Implantology ICOI, and Ambassador of Digital Dentistry Society DDS, American Academy of Oral Surgery, International Academy of Ultrasonic Surgery.
    He is on faculty and speakers for the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry (BAIRD), and international speaker and expert on Dental XP.
    He will explore the critical distinctions between complications and mistakes encountered during immediate implant procedures. His evidence-based analysis will provide valuable perspectives for practitioners on mitigating risks and enhancing success rates.

    Last AOS speaker is Dr. Kenneth Lee with his lecture “Three Faces of the Same Beast”
    Kenneth Lee,  President IAO 2015/2016. Chair of Education IAO 2018-2022, Professor of Oral Implantology, Universitat Jaume.
    Dr. Lee’s presentation will explore the multifaceted nature of challenges encountered in implant dentistry. By examining various facets of a singular issue, he will offer strategies for achieving improved patient outcomes.

    Following Aos Session the stage will host  Dr Lucia Lisi, graduated cum laude in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, she began her professional career collaborating with various dental practices dedicating herself with great passion to oral surgery, cariology, and prevention. Specialaized cum laude in Pediatric Dentistry.

    Title of his lecture: Simplifying for Excellence: Precision and Aesthetic-Functional Success in Computer-Guided Implantology

  • Endodontics: lessons of yesterday and today

    [vc_row evenz_container=”1″][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Italian Dental Association Cagliari Oristano, will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its International Congress entitled “A Decade of Dental Innovation: What Next?” from June 12 – 14, 2025 at the five star Forte Village Resort, on the beautiful island of Sardegna in Italy, one of the most sought-after vacation spots in Europe.

    The congress will commence on Thursday, June 12th, with the highly anticipated Endodontic Session, a full morning accreditated with 9 Adacerp/Pace credits, led by top international experts offering a morning featured with lectures followed by an interactive hands-on course in the afternoon.

    Key topics of the session will include the evolution of rotating instruments and materials, mastering challenges in endodontic microsurgery, strategies in the management of root resorption, the integration of digital technologies in diagnosis and treatment planning along with cutting-edge techniques in 3D canal disinfection and the latest developments in biomaterials.

    Paula Villa, from Universidad CES in Medellin, Colombia, will open the congress with an insightful presentation on Endodontic Microsurgery, focusing on mastering challenges and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

    Next, Fabio Gorni, an international speaker and expert in Micro Dentistry from Milan, Italy, will explore treatment options for managing the “open apex.” He will also provide valuable updates on advancements in rotary instrument alloys, offering guidance on selecting the most appropriate instruments for varying anatomical situations.

    Finally, Ruth Pérez Alfayate, from the University of Granada and the European University of Madrid, will delve into the management of root resorptions. Her presentation will enhance clinicians’ understanding of the differential diagnosis of root resorption types, paving the way for more precise and individualized treatment strategies.

    After the break, Roberto Fornara, from Milan, Italy—past president of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE) and co-author of the Atlas of Endodontic Anatomy, together with Massimo Gagliani, will explore the transformative role of digital endodontics. His presentation will highlight its impact on diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedural accuracy, while also addressing the importance of investing in training and equipment to fully procure advantage from these advanced technologies.

    Next, Giovanni Olivi from Rome, Italy, recipient of the prestigious Leon Goldman Award for Clinical Excellence and the Theodore H. Maiman Award in 2024, will present on the groundbreaking potential of laser-activated irrigation. Specifically, he will delve into SWEEPS technology, an innovative approach to achieving comprehensive 3D disinfection of the root canal system, setting a new standard in endodontic care.

    The closing lecture, curated by Nicola Maris Grande, from Rome, Italy, immediate past president of the SIE and author of over 100 publications in international journals will align with the theoretical portion of the hands-on course on the latest generation of bioceramic materials in orthograde and surgical endodontics. The lecture will set the stage for the afternoon’s practical session.

    Discussion will focus on “Bioceramics”, based on biocompatible and bioactive calcium silicates.  These materials represent the evolution of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), which, over the past 30 years, has revolutionized the management of complex cases such as perforations, large and wide canals, and surgical repairs of hard tissue defects. The lecture will also explore the differences among the various bioceramic materials available on the market and their specific applications in diverse clinical scenarios, providing attendees with invaluable insights into their effective use.

    The official language of the meeting will be English. For those other languages simultaneous translation will be provided. The congress, featuring both lectures as well as hands-on courses, will award participating dentists with up to 40 ADA CERP/AGD PACE CE Credits. Certificates of Participation will be provided to those attendees making request. Sessions for the entire dental team will also be held so bring them along!
