    [vc_row evenz_container=”1″][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Gentili soci e colleghi, come sapete dal 12 al 14 Giugno ci incontreremo al Forte Village per il Decimo Anniversario del Congresso Internazionale in Sardegna.

    Decennale perchè dal 2015 siamo un punto d’incontro dell’odontoiatria mondiale ed è  e dovrebbe essere un vanto per tutti organizzare tutto questo in Sardegna.

    Come sapete avremo una selezione di percorsi culturali estremamente ampia tenuti da relatori importanti e preparati, che forniranno gli ultimi aggiornamenti su tutto lo scibile dell’odontoiatria.

    E’ importante ricordare che al Congresso si entra solo se si è iscritti. A parte la bellezza della location, e i relatori di fama mondiale presenti –oltre 400 ospiti provenienti da tutto il mondo, il fatto che le quote sono uguali per i soci di tutte le società patrocinanti e fino a 27 crediti ECM erogabili abbiamo anche la novità della traduzione simultanea con l’Intelligenza Artificiale, e vi preghiamo di portare i vostri auricolari che potrebbero servirvi.

    Sei i corsi pratici organizzati in questo Congresso, due il giovedì (chirurgia 9.30-13.30 ed endodonzia 12.30-17.30), e quattro il venerdì (restauri, odontoiatria digitale e parodonto in contemporanea dalle 15 alle 18 e protesi dalle 16.30 alle 19). Ancora qualche posto disponibile.

    Cinque giorni di Yoga – Da mercoledì 11 maggio fino a domenica 15 tutte le mattine, a partire dalle 8, sarà possibile a relatori, ospiti, accompagnatori praticare lo yoga: una disciplina che punta a creare armonia e porta corpo ed anima a guardare nella medesima direzione, verso un’unità interiore. Lo yoga è indicato a tutti, a prescindere da età e predisposizione all’attività fisica. Già adesso è possibile pre-iscriversi alle lezioni per organizzare un gruppo.

    10:00-10:30 – Paulo Monteiro, the Portoguese President of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), will deliver a lecture on the role of photography in dentistry. He will highlight how it has become an essential tool for diagnostics, treatment planning, legal documentation, and education, while also emphasizing the importance of ethical and responsible use in marketing on social media.

    10:30-11:00 – Lisa Fernandes Gonçalves from Portugal will present her lecture, “Anterior Esthetic Rehabilitation: Benefits and Limitations of the Digital Workflow,” exploring the advantages and challenges of integrating digital technology into esthetic rehabilitation. She holds a Master’s degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Dental Esthetics and serves as a professor of Esthetic Rehabilitation in the Master’s Program of Oral Rehabilitation at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

    11:00-11:30 – Before the break, Valentin Vervack from the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Ghent in Belgium will introduce the audience to the use of digital protocols based on Optishade colorimetric imaging. This innovative approach provides a consistent method for color matching, eliminating the guesswork involved in selecting the correct composite shades.

    12:15-12:45 – Following the break, Vincenzo Tosco, didactic and clinical professor in Ancona, will explore the use of new bioactive materials as a replacement for dentin in clinical procedures such as direct and indirect pulp capping, pulpotomy, and perforation repair.

    12:45-13:15 Margarida Henrique will close the session. Co-author of the book “Veneers” (published by Quintessenza), active member of Style Italiano, Certified Member of the ESCD (European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry).with a private practice dedicated to Surgery and Prosthodontics in Seville, will lecture on “Esthetic Pursuit: The Role of AI in Dental Shade Selection and Treatment Planning” demonstrating how important the creation of protocols is in achieving the correct planned esthetic result and how crucial they are in obtaining predictable outcomes.

  • Imaging analogico e digitale, colorimetria, corner per le lezioni hands-on: Style Italiano protagonista il 13 giugno al Congresso Internazionale in Sardegna

    [vc_row evenz_container=”1″][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Al Congresso Internazionale in Sardegna organizzato da Associazione Italiana Odontoiatri, giunto al 10° anniversario e in programma al Forte Village (Cagliari) dal 12 al 14 giugno, il percorso “verde” di conservativa ed estetica è uno dei punti di forza. Prevista a partire da venerdì 13 giugno, la serie di sessioni porta tra venerdì e sabato 18 crediti ECM e parte venerdì 13 con la mattinata gestita dai creatori di Style Italiano.

    Alle ore 9.00 aprirà la lectio magistralis sui 12 anni della “community” nel mondo a cura di Angelo Putignano ordinario al Corso di laurea in Odontoiatria dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche e docente di Restaurativa, e di Walter Devoto Socio Fondatore di Style Italiano con Putignano visiting professor al corso di Perfezionamento in Odontoiatria Ricostruttiva Estetica all’Université de la Mediterranée di Marsiglia. Seguirà una relazione di Paulo Monteiro, presidente nazionale per il Portogallo della Società europea di odontoiatria cosmetica (ESCD) , sulle applicazioni della fotografia in odontoiatria, divenuta standard di cura non solo nella diagnostica, ma anche nella pianificazione dei trattamenti e come documentazione legale e didattica (oltre che materia da trattare con le dovute cautele sui social).

    L’evoluzione in corso nell’imaging – Sarà quindi analizzata la transizione in corso dal flusso di imaging analogico a quello digitale, a cura della portoghese Lisa Fernandes Gonçalves, operativa anche a Barcellona nel Master di Riabilitazione orale dell’Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Infine subito prima del break, il belga Valentin Vervack, Dipartimento Odontoiatria Ricostruttiva Università di Gent, introdurrà la platea all’uso dei protocolli digitali basati sulle immagini colorimetriche di Optishade, che offrono un metodo costante di corrispondenza dei colori eliminando la necessità di “indovinare” le tonalità corrette dei compositi.

    Focus sulle tecniche – Nella seconda parte della mattinata, Vincenzo Tosco Professore a contratto e tutor clinico ad Ancona relazionerà sull’uso dei nuovi materiali bioattivi in procedure cliniche quali incappucciamento diretto e indiretto della polpa, pulpotomia, riparazione delle perforazioni, e sostituzione della dentina.

    Chiude la sessione  Margarida Henrique, co-autrice del libro “Faccette” (edito da Quintessenza) e docente a Sao Paulo (Brasile), parla del ruolo della intelligenza artificiale nella selezione del colore dentale e nella pianificazione del trattamento per una ricerca estetica dai risultati predicibili.

    Il pomeriggio “hands-on” con i docenti – Nel pomeriggio, in altra sala, saranno allestiti quattro corner per un massimo di cento posti disponibili: un’occasione da non perdere per imparare ad usare strumenti e materiali, discutendo con tutti gli speakers di Style Italiano. Saranno presentate live demo di 30 minuti ciascuna. I posti disponibili sono in tutto 100; sono ammessi massimo 20 partecipanti per corner, a rotazione.   • I corsi organizzati per il dental team di ogni professionista. Le sessioni per Igienisti dentali e ASO al Forte

    Igienisti dentali e assistenti alla poltrona (ASO)  in risalto al 10° Anniversario del  Congresso Internazionale in programma al Forte Village dal 12-14 giugno. Come da tradizione di ogni Congresso di Associazione Italiana Odontoiatri-AIO in Sardegna, infatti, non mancherà la sessione loro dedicata. Si svolgerànno entrambe  sabato 14 giugno dalle 9 alle 13, la prima foriera di 8 crediti ECM, la seconda di 6 crediti ASO.

    Sessione Igienisti – La mattinata avrà come focus il trattamento mini invasivo delle peri-implantiti e delle parodontiti, con protocolli nuovi e nuove strategie, e relatori di primo piano. Il primo contributo sarà di Andrea Butera. Igienista Dentale,  Docente a contratto del Corso di Laurea in Odontoiatria ed  Igiene Dentale, Università di Pavia che tratterà di “Approccio traslazionale nei protocolli clinici e domiciliari nella gestione del paziente parodontale e implantare”: si spazia dal gold standard in letteratura, ai nuovi strumenti per abbattere efficacemente la carica batterica.

    A seguire, l’odontoiatra italo-svedese Maria Gabriella Grusovin, specialista in Parodontologia e Impianti e già Docente alle Università di Manchester e Vita e Salute San Raffaele (MI), relazionerà sulle “Nuove strategie mini-invasive per il trattamento di peri-implantite e parodontite”  , analizzando le diverse metodiche a disposizione, quali l’uso delle polveri e di mezzi aggiuntivi e valutando sia la preparazione all’approccio chirurgico sia la gestione del post operatorio in costante sinergia tra igienista ed odontoiatra.

    Conclude la Sessione Giulio Papa, docente di Master di 1° e 2° Livello in vari atenei: Roma Sapienza, Padova, Catanzaro, Murcia (Spagna). La sua relazione “ One shot: surgery by prevention. Il protocollo unico per l’igienista dentale e l’odontoiatra” illustrerà i trattamenti che sono stati introdotti grazie agli sviluppi degli ultimi anni nell’ozonoterapia odontoiatrica. Un campo dove nuove tecnologie chimiche hanno reso disponibili per i clinici terapie quotidiane fino a qualche anno fa inimmaginabili.

    Sessione ASO – In altra sala, curata da IDEA-Italian Dental Assistant, l’Associazione culturale storica di categoria, la sessione Aso  rappresenta un’opportunità unica di aggiornamento professionale per tutti gli ASO  desiderosi di migliorare le proprie competenze e rimanere al passo con le migliori pratiche del settore.

    Apre alle 8.30 Toshiro Savoia, esperto di crescita personale e coaching, con una relazione sulla Gestione Strategica dell’Agenda – “dall’Organizzazione alla Produzione” – dove verranno approfondite le cinque aree strategiche nelle agende degli studi dentistici: Anagrafica, che richiede organizzazione e precisione nei dati dei pazienti;

    A seguire, Francesco Grande , Dottorando in Bioingegneria E Scienze Medico-chirurgiche al Politecnico di Torino e socio onorario IDEA, tratterà di corretta gestione della componentistica implantare: partendo da una panoramica pratica e dettagliata sulla gestione di materiali e strumenti, illustrerà le principali categorie di componenti, le loro funzioni e l’importanza della corretta organizzazione.

    La Presidente Nazionale IDEA Rossella Abbondanza con la Product Manager Sirona Maria Elena Tonini parleranno quindi di gestione dei rischi nello Studio Odontoiatrico, e in particolare dell’esposizione del personale a partire dai rischi biologici e chimici. La relazione approfondirà i pericoli più comuni nello studio dentistico e fornirà strategie per tutelare la salute dei lavoratori e garantire un ambiente sicuro per i pazienti.

  • Sessions for Dental Hygienists and Dental Chair Assistants at Forte Village!

    Dental hygienists and Dental chair assistants (ASO) highlighted at the 10th Anniversary of the International Congress scheduled at Forte Village from 12-14 June.

    As per tradition of every Congress of the Italian Association of Dentists-AIO in Sardinia, in fact, there will be a session dedicated to them. Both will take place on Saturday 14 June from 9 to 13.

    Hygienists Session – This session will feature leading experts presenting the latest advancements in minimally invasive techniques, instrumentation, and ozone therapy, all designed to enhance patient comfort and elevate the standard of care.

    Speaker:: Andrea Butera – Dental hygienist, contract professor in the Dental and Dental Hygiene program at the University of Pavia, Italy PhD, Health Sciences, UCAM University of Murcia, University of Pavia, Director of Teaching Activities of the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene, University of Pavia and Research grant holder, University of Pavia will examine new strategies for managing periodontal and implant patients, covering:

    • The gold standard in home and clinical care
    • New instruments that significantly reduce bacterial load
    • The advantages of the technique aimed at the natural reduction of the bacterial load over time  to minimize long-term pharmacological exposure.

    10:30 am – 12:00 am – Mini-Invasive Strategies for Treating Peri-Implantitis and Periodontitis

    Speaker: Maria Gabriella Grusovin, Swedish-Italian Periodontist and Implant Specialist, former lecturer at the Universities of Manchester, UK and Vita e Salute San Raffaele, Milano, Italy and author of over 80 publications and book chapters.

    She will explore:

    • The latest minimally invasive treatment techniques
    • The role of powders and other instruments
    • Pre- and post-surgical care
    • The role of the hygienist and the importance of synergistic work with the dentist.

    Periodontitis and peri-implantitis are increasingly frequent pathologies in our practices. The aim is to remove the infection but also to allow adequate maintenance of the health conditions around the implant and the tooth and to obtain adequate aesthetics.

    CHAIR ASSISTANT’S  SESSION – In another room, curated by IDEA-Italian Dental Assistant , this session offers a unique opportunity for professional growth while equipping dental assistants with the latest skills and best practices to stay at the forefront of the profession.

    Following her introduction, Toshiro Savoia, an expert in personal growth and coaching, will present “Strategic Management of the Agenda – From Organization to Production.” This insightful discussion will explore five key areas essential for optimizing dental office operations:

    Next, Francesco Grande, Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences from the Polytechnical School of Turin and an honorary member of IDEA, will lead a session on the proper management of implant components. Through a practical and detailed overview, he will break down the key categories of components, their functions, and best practices for organizing materials and instruments. By mastering these essential skills, dental assistants can provide a crucial support to dentists, ultimately enhancing patient care and improving overall treatment outcomes.

    Rossella Abbondanza, National President of IDEA, and Maria Elena Tonini, Product Manager at Sirona, will then lead an important discussion on risk management in the dental practice, with a focus on biological and chemical exposure risks for personnel.     11.45 – 12.45 PM –  Following the break Figen Seymen, Chair and Program director at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of Altınbas University, Turkey and President of the World Federation of Pediatric Dentistry (IAPD) will focus on research and the evidence about Amelogenesis Imperfecta (IA). He will review the genes and mutations underlying AI presenting in isolation from other health problems, the proteins they encode, and knowledge of their roles in amelogenesis, combining evidence from human phenotypes

    12:45 PM – 1:30 PM – Maria El Khoury has a certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon and an advanced diploma in Pediatric Dentistry from Dental College- Beirut, Lebanon. Having accomplished advanced training at the oral pathology department at Pitié Salpetrière Hospital in Paris she currently is working on a PhD in pediatric dentistry. She owns a private clinic in Beruit, Lebanon. Her lecture will provide updates on  “The Growing Challenge of Traumatic Dental Injuries: Modern Approaches to Diagnosis and Management.”

    9:00 – 9:45 – Renato Cocconi, specialist in Orthodontics, internationally renowned speaker and newly elected President of the scientific committee of the Angle Society of Europe with a private practice in Parma, Italy where he directs the face orthodontic surgery center in collaboration with the primary surgeon Prof. Mirco Raffaini, will discuss Digital Planning: The Common Denominator for the Orthodontic Treatment with Aligners and Fixed Appliances”, discussing how digital planning is the baseline for orthodontic treatment with aligners and fixed appliances, following common criteria and a logical sequence.

    9:45 – 10:30 – Following, Alessandro Greco, Past President of the Italian Society of Bidimensional Technique (S.I.Te.Bi), author of scientific articles in national and international journals, speaker at national and international courses and conferences. and a freelancer in Rome, Italy dedicated to orthodontics will talk about “Orthodontics with Aligners from 0 to 100 in 20 Yers of Experience”, exploring the use of aligners as a valid therapeutic alternative.  By fully understanding the advantages and limitations of the system it is possible to determine those cases in which their use offers an effective advantage.

    10:30 – 11:15 – Giorgio Iodice, with a Masters in “Orthodontics” and a PhD in “Oral Sciences”, Honorary Senior Lecturer and Clinical Tutor at the University of Naples Federico II and at the University of Otago (New Zealand), Vice President 2024-2026 of the Italian Board of Orthodontics (IBO), past-President of the European Begg Society of Orthodontics (EBSO), past-President 2020-2021 of the Italian Association of Specialists in Orthodontics (ASIO), past-President of the Italian Society of Aligners (SIALIGN) will explore the “Limits of Aligners: Recognise and Overcome describing clinical workflows to combine aligners and skeletal anchorage in different clinical scenarios. Attendees will be led to more simplified and predictable approaches, from easy clinical management and routinely applicable in everyday orthodontic clinical practice.

  • Pedodonzia e Ortodonzia al centro del Percorso Blu

    Pedodonzia: focus pure su amelogenesi imperfetta e traumi – Katrin Bekes, Presidente del Dipartimento di Odontoiatria Pediatrica della Clinica Universitaria di Odontoiatria dell’Università di Medicina di Vienna, apre con una relazione sui denti ipo-mineralizzati  e sull’attuale trattamento dei pazienti con ipo-mineralizzazione di incisivi e molari (MIH). Si prosegue con Maria Giovanna Barboni, già Professore a contratto nell’International MD Program Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, con un focus sulle possibilità terapeutico-preventive nei soggetti colpiti da ipo-mineralizzazione. Dopo il break Figen Seymen, Università di Altınbas, presidente della Federazione Mondiale Odontoiatria Pediatrica (IAPD)  parlerà di Amelogenesi imperfetta (AI) e di come  implementare metodi diagnostici più accurati volti soprattutto a correlare l’aspetto clinico e radiografico dello smalto con la potenziale origine genetica della patologia. Chiuderà la mattinata la libanese  Maria El Khoury, “Teaching Assistant” al dipartimento di Medicina Orale e Radiologia Maxillo-facciale della Saint Joseph University-Beirut, con un excursus sui nuovi approcci a diagnosi e gestione delle lesioni dentali traumatiche.

    Ortodonzia: sabato in plenaria il confronto sugli aligners – Il percorso prosegue il pomeriggio del venerdi (ore 15-18)  con la plenaria multidisciplinare con importanti passaggi sui temi estetici con Marco Veneziani, Fabio Federici Canova, Daniele Garbo, Gualtiero Mandelli: si parla di medicina estetica e molto altro. E si chiude sabato 14 mattina, con la sessione di ortodonzia dal titolo “20 anni di allineatori: quale il giudizio critico dell’ Ortodontista?” Aprirà  Renato Cocconi, relatore di fama internazionale e neo-eletto Presidente del comitato scientifico della Angle Society of Europe, relazionando sulla pianificazione digitale. Segue Alessandro Greco , Past President della Società Italiana di Tecnica Bidimensionale (S.I.Te.Bi), in materia di uso degli aligners a 20 anni dal loro lancio. Dei limiti degli allineatori e di come riconoscerli e superarli parlerà Giorgio Iodice (Università di Napoli Federico II e di Otago in Nuova Zelanda). Chiuderà Vincenzo D’Anto,  della Scuola di Ortodonzia dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, intervenendo sui limiti biomeccanici degli allineatori e sulle chance di ottenere risultati predicibili.

  • Congresso Internazionale in Sardegna, si alza il sipario. Ancora posti disponibili, ecco cosa si perde chi non viene al Forte dal 12 al 14 giugno

    in breve Vi riassumiamo quello che i pochi che ad un mese dal congresso non si sono iscritti stanno per perdersi (ma siamo certi che non perderanno). In una frase si potrebbe dire che al Forte Village (Cagliari) dal 12 al 14  giugno avremo una selezione di percorsi culturali estremamente ampia, con corsi pratici e sessioni tenuti da relatori di fama mondiale, che forniranno gli ultimi aggiornamenti su tutto lo scibile dell’odontoiatria.

    Ma scendiamo nel dettaglio. Intanto, un avviso per tutti: al Congresso si entra solo se si è iscritti al congresso. E ora guardiamo da vicino i “plus”: a parte la bellezza della location, e i relatori di fama mondiale presenti –oltre 400 ospiti provenienti da tutto il mondo, il fatto che le quote sono uguali per i soci di tutte le società patrocinanti e fino a 27 crediti ECM erogabili– ci sono alcune altre cose per cui dopo non sono ammessi recriminazioni, rimpianti, rimorsi.

    Per la prima volta, mercoledi 11, terremo il Dental Social Hub. Un’occasione di incontro che culminerà in una serata in un’esclusiva location all’interno del Forte.   • 13 giugno 2025: la Digital Dentistry Society presenta una sessione innovativa sul digitale in odontoiatria!

    [vc_row evenz_container=”1″][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Venerdì 13 giugno al Congresso Internazionale AIO Sardegna in programma al Forte Village (Cagliari), dalle 8:30 alle 13:00 la sessione della Digital Dentistry Society, riunirà i principali esperti internazionali di odontoiatria digitale per discutere gli ultimi progressi nella tecnologia e nelle applicazioni cliniche.

    La mattinata, digitale, chirurgia, AI – La sessione è accreditata di 10 Crediti Ada Cerp/Pace. Ad aprirla, sarà Francesco Grande, dottorando in Odontoiatria digitale, che esplorerà la ricerca della precisione nella scansione intraorale. Fabrizia Luongo, board member DDS esperta in implantologia, approfondirà la chirurgia statica guidata e la navigazione dinamica. A seguire, Carlo Mangano, docente all’Università dell’Insubria, Fondatore e Past President DDS, illustrerà l’impatto dell’Intelligenza Artificiale e della Realtà Aumentata in Odontoiatria.

    Protesica ed esempi pratici – Dopo la pausa caffè, Filippo Rustichini, membro dell’Accademia Italiana di Odontoiatria Protesica ed odontoiatra forense, presenterà esempi di riabilitazione dell’intera arcata con un flusso di lavoro digitale completo. Gennaro Ruggiero, master of science in Protesi e Odontoiatria Digitale, e Ambasciatore DDS Italia, parlerà quindi di flussi di lavoro digitali in protesi fissa. In chiusura dei lavori, Fabrizio Molinelli, formatore e consulente per le nuove tecnologie protesiche in odontoiatria digitale, parlerà di protesi totali digitali.

    A seguire la sessione DDS il corso del Prof. Mauro Rigolone dal tiolo “L’Odontoiatria nell’era digitale: integrazione di realtà mista e 3D” che approfondisce i vantaggi offerti dall’integrazione di tecnologie avanzate come la realtà aumentata e l’imaging 3D nella pratica odontoiatrica. Saranno analizzati strumenti innovativi – scanner intraorali, microscopi chirurgici, telecamere 3D – e il loro ruolo nell’ottimizzazione del workflow chirurgico. Il focus principale sarà dedicato al sistema FALKO 3D, una soluzione progettata per integrare e combinare fonti visive provenienti dadifferenti dispositivi di imaging, in tempo reale, direttamente nel campo visivo del chirurgo.
